The audit division of Thiel Partners is headed by Jon Burgess, who is registered with the Australian Securities and Investments Commission as a company auditor and holds a practicing certificate from the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia.

Jon has over thirty years experience in the auditing field, most of which was obtained from second tier auditing practices with international affiliations. In addition he has served as technical partner in second tier audit practices.

He has worked on the audits of listed public companies in both South Africa and Australia. These public companies include both South African banks and financial institutions.

The audit manager of the division is Keagen Georgiou, who is also a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia.
