The forensic accounting and business valuations division of Thiel Partners operates under the supervision of Jon Burgess.

Jon has considerable hands on experience in the forensic accounting and valuations fields, most of which was obtained while with second tier auditing practices with international affiliations.

He has appeared as an expert witness in matters heard before the Supreme Court of Queensland and the Administrative Appeals Tribunal in both Queensland and New South Wales.

While in practice in South Africa he was often engaged by the Commercial Branch of the South African Police as both a forensic accounting investigator and expert witness. These matters included several highly publicised fraud cases, one such case resulting in over 1,600 convictions against an accused company director.
